Self-Rescue
Many climbers venture outside and hope everything goes well. What if it doesn’t? Do you know how to help yourself, your climbing partner or maybe a nearby climbing party? This course will teach you basic rescue skills for those times.
Skills Taught:
- Weighted and un-weighted belay take overs and climber pickoffs
- Counterbalance ascents and rappels
- Ascending a rope
- Lowering an injured climber
- Escaping the belay
- Passing the knot
- Basic haul systems
Pre-requisites:
- Solid belay skills
- Basic understanding of top rope anchors
Location: High Rocks (Ralph Stover State Park/Tohickon Valley Park), Pipersville, PA.
Ages: 18+
Duration: 8 hours
Cost: $115 per climber. $85 per climber for DRG members.
- Cancel more than 3 days before your class: You will receive a 100% refund.
- Cancel between 1-3 days before your class: You will receive 100% of your payment back as credit.
- Cancel less than 1 day before your class or failure to attend: No refund or store credit will be issue
